Online Resources for Students

BrainPOP - This website has engaging animated learning videos, games, quizzes, and activities

                          to encourage kids on their unique learning path. This website is geared towards

                          grades PreK-8. Unfortunately there is a cost to this resource.

Desmos - This FREE online calculator has a teacher-centric activity builder for creating digital     

                                                 math activities. This calculator is useful for grades 9-12.

Flocabulary - Flocab uses hip-hop to teach math by offering songs, activities, and videos. The

                                              grades are aimed for grades K-12. There is a free trial for this website

                                              but there is a subscription cost.

GeoGebra - This FREE math applet is similar to that of a graphing calculator for functions, 

                          geometry, algebra, calculus, statistics, and 3D math. Grades 9-12 are the main

                          users.

Kahoot - This website is a great way to use technology to teach math. Students become engage

                 with this game-based classroom response system played by the whole class in real

                 time. There are multiple-choice questions projected on the screen, then students

                 answer with their smartphone, tablet, or computer. This can be used for grades K-12.

                 While there is a free 30-day trail, but there is a subscription cost.

Podcasts - There are many FREE podcasts from various websites and apps. There are podcasts

                     about almost any topic including mathematics materials. Podcasts are a great

                     resource for students who want to learn more information about a topic being taught

                     in class.

Quizzizz - This website has free self-paced quizzes to review, assess, and engage students both

                   in the classroom and at home. Teachers do not have to worry about grading

                   because the website gives the feedback. Quizzizz is aimed towards grades K-12 and

                   can be used for any classroom use.

YouTube - This website has thousands of FREE videos about anything. There are hundreds of

                                                         channels that focus on math topics. This website is a great

                                                         resource for students who want to know more about the

                                                         information being taught in class as well topics they are

                                                         struggling or interested in.
