Online Resources for Students

Buzz Math - This website focuses on helping middle school students practice their math skills

                        through high-quality problems. With immediate and detailed feedback, students

                        can progress at their own pace. Questions have randomly generated values that

                        let students retry problems to obtain mastery. Teachers received detailed results

                        that help them guide and monitor student progress. The website has a free demo,

                        however there is a subscription cost for students and families.

Corbettmaths - This FREE resource from England provides math videos, math practice questions

                             and worksheets with answers for grades K-12.

​

DragonBox - This website has math apps for grades K-6 that create a better, deeper, more fun

                                      learning experiences. Blogs and resources are also included for teachers 

                                      and parents. However, after using the free trail, this website has a cost.

Dreambox - This website is an adaptive learning platform designed to complement classroom

                       instruction in order to deliver results. This website is geared towards grades K-8.

                       Resources for teachers, student data reports, and instructive insights are included.

                       However, there is a subscription cost after the free trial. 

​

Edgenuity - This website gives students the support they need exactly when they need it by

                                                        giving primary or supplementary instruction. However, there is a                                                            cost to this website.

​

eMath Instruction - This site provides e-textbooks, answer keys, video lessons, and printables

                                    for students and teachers of algebra 1 and 2, geometry, and trigonometry.

                                    Unfortunately there is a cost.

First in Math - This competitive and game-based content helps students in grades K-8 gain

                          skills practice and fluency as they play games targeted toward fact proficiency

                          and logical thinking. After the free trial, there is a cost for the site.

Front Row - This website allows kids to practice math at their own level and pace, has more than

                                        30,000 math questions (starting with a diagnostic that assigns material at

                                        just the right level), and features lessons/ assessments/ reports for

                                        teachers. This website is for grades K-9 and is free for teachers, with the

                                        exception for upgrades and other features.

GregTanMath.com - This FREE website strives to provide unparalleled math lessons for students

                                     as well professional development for in-service teachers. Games, puzzles,

                                     and other resources, like free downloads, worksheets/ word problems, and

                                     math centers. This is gear for grades K-6.

​

Illuminations - This FREE site, geared towards grades PreK-12, is from the National Council of

                           Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and features complete lesson plans, mobile

                           games for students, interactive activities, and brain teasers.

​

Illustrative Math - This FREE website has high-quality educational resources for teachers and

                                                         students in grades 6-8 which includes excellent math tasks,                                                          videos, lesson plans, and problem-based curriculum modules. 

​

Istation - This website makes personalized learning easy with computer-adaptive instruction,

                 assessments, personalized data profiles, and teacher resources. It includes digital

                 lessons and face-to-face teaching strategies. The website is aimed at grades PreK-8

                 and unfortunately has a cost.

IXL Math - IXL Math has engaging items, real-world scenarios, and unlimited questions. Teachers

                   can choose the strand and set up students to work independently. This website is for

                   grades K-12 and unfortunately has a cost.

Khan Academy - Khan Academy is on a mission to give a FREE, world-class education to

                                anyone anywhere. Their personalized learning resources are available for all

                                ages. Video learning segments are followed by practice activities.

LearnZillion - This FREE (cost for premium version) cloud-based curriculum for K-12 students,

                           focusing on supporting both traditional and blended classrooms. This website

                           is geared towards grades K-12.

Mathletics - This FREE online learning space is engaging, supportive, and designed to get kids

                       interested in math while teaching state standards.

​

MobyMax - This award-winning, K-8 program finds and fixes learning gaps with power of

                                           personalized learning. Their three-pronged approach features

                                           personalized learning, pinpoint assessments, and interactive class.                                            There is a free version which includes all curriculum, one test per year,                                            and a basic overview of students' progress. However, there is a paid                                            version which provides a personalized learning license.

Origo Education - Stepping Stones, from Origo, is a unique and comprehensive curriculum that

                                 combines print and digital materials. It features problem-solving activities,

                                 strategies and practice. Teachers also have access to a professional blog

                                 that provides advice and support. This website is geared towards grades

                                 K-6 and has a cost.

PowerMyLearning - This organization helps students in low-income communities, together with

                                     teachers and families, harness the power of digital learning platforms to

                                     raise educational outcomes. The program features school workshops,

                                     coaching, and professional learning communities. This website is geared

                                     towards K-12 and has a cost.

​

Prodigy Software - This website has math games for grades 1-8 that tackle more than 1,200

                                   crucial math skills in a fun and engaging way. This website is FREE for

                                   teachers, however there is a cost for a family subscription.

Skoolbo - This website is interactive, game-based learning world that motivates kids through

                   rewards. Features include daily challenge, step-by-step lessons, and parent

                   connections. Skoolbo is geared towards grades K-5 and has a free version as well

                   as an upgraded version with a monthly fee.

SumDog - SumDog has math games that make learning fun! It has engaging, evidence-based,

                    and adaptive learning in addition to focusing on specific skills, target interventions,

                    and makes assessment easy. SumDog is aimed for grades K-5 and has a cost (after

                    a free trail).

​

TenMarks - This award-winning online instructional program has rigorous content and

                      curriculum resources for differentiated instruction and personalized learning. This

                      program is for grades K-12. After a free 30 day trail, there is then a subscription cost.

​

Woot Math - Woot Math offers adaptive practice for teaching rational numbers and related

                        topics, such as fractions, decimals, and rations. There is a free tier for teachers

                        with additional features available for an extra cost. Mostly for grades 3-7.

​

Zearn - This website has personalized math curriculum that includes digital lessons and

                                                 small-group instruction. Additionally, it has an online modules,                                                  workbooks and answer keys, and professional development. It is                                                  geared towards grades K-5 and has a cost.
